Hendersonville's
Teachers & Students
The Hendersonville Foundation was founded in 2010 with the main mission to support Hendersonville's teachers and students.
/ about
The Hendersonville Chamber Foundation was founded in 2010, when a few business men and women decided they wanted to do more for our community. Since its inception the Foundation Board has worked tirelessly to grown the donations distriputed annually. The first year we awarded $2500 in grant awards to Hendersonville teachers and in 2019 we were able to donate $34,938.37.
We currently support annual awards to classroom teachers for innovative projects they conduct with students. Not only do these projects impact the educational experience for the current year for which the award is made, but many of the projects have a shelf life of up to five years multiplying exponentially the number of students who benefit. Over the past 15 years, over $365,000 has been awarded through this program.
Other programs include an annual scholarship for a student at Volunteer State Community College since 1996, participation in the capital campaign for the new Hendersonville Public Library and initiatives to support the startup Leadership Academy at Union University and teacher Development at Welch College.
If you know of a teacher in our area that is in need to funds in order to better her students please call 615-824-2818.
