On behalf of The Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce, United Way, The City of Hendersonville, and the countless donations received from thousands OF people, local and out-of-state, accept our heartfelt sorrow for any loss received during the December 9th tornado disaster. Our hearts are with you, and we are here to support you and rebuild Hendersonville any way we can. Together, we are strong.

Below are resources
to help you
through
this time: 

·         United Way of Sumner County has a Disaster Relief hub that is updated in real time to help you with resources and information you may need. You can visit Unitedwayssumner.org to learn more.  

·         If you are in need of financial assistance or clothing, contact The Hendersonville Samaritan Center at (615) 824-7105. They are located at 116 Dunn St in Hendersonville. 

  

·         If you need replacement items lost in the disaster (toiletries, cleaning supplies, water, snacks, towels, etc) stop by Sumner County Missions located at 724 E. Main St in Hendersonville OR give them a call at (615) 502-0740

 

·         If you have lost employment or need short term employment, contact J'lese Foxx with American Job Center of Sumner County (615) 230-0643 at J'lese.Foxx@tn.gov  or Kristin Baker with Goodwill Career Center (615) 346-1835 at kristin.baker@givegw.org

 

·         Beware of fraud and price gouging. Storm chasers from out of state may offer services that are not legitimate. If you need to verify a company’s legitimacy, contact Kimberly Meyer with BBB Serving Middle TN & Southern KY at (615) 972-7259 or kmeyer@gobbb.org

 

·         With the approval of federal disaster assistance for Sumner County, individual grants through FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency are now available to cover rent and other emergency expenses for tornado victims. You can get help at DisasterAssistance.gov. The Small Business Administration will be set up at the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce office 100 Country Club Drive Suite 104 on Monday. You must go through FEMA first before going to the Small Business Association.  

  • The Red Cross can be reached at 1-800-Red Cross.  They will also have a Disaster Center set up at Union University at 205 Indian Lake Blvd. in Hendersonville, open Wednesday, December 20 - Friday, December 22, 11am-7pm.

      • Assistance with Immediate Needs

        • Can help any victim with immediate medical needs such as medication, glasses, wheelchairs, etc. 

        • They are also offering mental health services to help those who are struggling with disaster-related stress.
